Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) for Foot and Ankle

Traditional open surgical treatment of many foot problems often involves large incisions. This may lead to prolonged wound healing, swelling, post-operative infections as well as delays in ability wear footwear and fully weight bear. It is not uncommon, for instance, that with open bunion correction full recovery may take one the year or even longer. At the same time, in certain situations – open surgery is a valid option.

I have introduced minimally invasive surgery techniques to the North Midlands region. As the sole surgeon in the area who consistently employs MIS techniques, my focus is on treating conditions such as bunions, forefoot problems, heel issues, and foot deformities such as flat and high-arched feet. Through the use of minimally invasive surgical procedures, my aim is to minimize tissue disruption, decrease swelling, and expedite the recovery process. Advanced Arthroscopic Surgical techniques.

I regularly perform arthroscopic ankle fusions, which is a surgical procedure aimed at alleviating ankle arthritis. I am the sole specialist in the North Midlands region who frequently conducts advanced posterior arthroscopy of the subtalar joint and Achilles tendon area. These procedures involve making small incisions in the foot, which serve to safeguard the surrounding soft tissues while enabling substantial interventions with minimal harm to the patient’s tissues.

I am the leading surgeon in Staffordshire, routinely performing total ankle replacement.
